Rose Lufafa
Born and raised in a typical African family, Ms. Lufafa knows very well the challenges of the region, such as a large number of relatives, illness and poverty. She studied business administration and now does most of the administrative work at Deseret Community School. In addition, she also takes on the role of mother to a large number of needy children who are helpless or have been abused by society. She believes that through love, lives can be changed and it is love alone that makes the world a better place and gives life a deeper meaning.
Victoria Knobloch
Victoria Knobloch is an artist (singer, photographer and film maker) from Germany. She visited Deseret Community School for the first time in September 2016 for a 3-week volunteer period. She was incredibly inspired by the unconditional love and devotion that Ms. Lufafa and Mr. Kalangwa showed to these needy children and elderly people. At the same time, she was also shocked by the enormous poverty and the many desperate people and situations she encountered there. For this reason, she now sees it as her job to help the people, the school and the community together with Mr. Kalangwa and Ms. Lufafa.
